Lesson overview
Turn the demonstration into a repeatable research step
This expired-domain SEO case study investigates whether a deindexed domain with a complicated history can be rebuilt and returned to Google's index without new backlinks, indexing services or social promotion.
The example domain, GordonWi.com, had 24 years of recorded history, including approximately 15 years of consistent local content followed by redirects, a drop and more recent use as a PBN. The video shows how the domain was assessed, how its historical content was investigated through the Wayback Machine and how a suitable legitimate snapshot was selected.
DomRecovery was used to recover the useful website structure and historical URLs. The recovered files were kept as reference material while an AI coding assistant created a new design and original content in a separate output folder. After review, only the newly built website was uploaded.
The rebuilt site was found in Google's index after three days and 21 hours without any deliberate promotion. A subsequent metrics check showed Majestic Trust Flow moving from 24 to 32 while Moz Domain Authority remained at 31.
This is a single-domain experiment rather than proof that every deindexed or previously misused domain can be recovered. Indexing does not guarantee restored rankings or traffic, and the timing of the Trust Flow change does not prove that reindexing caused it.
Use the walkthrough as a starting point, then adapt the filters, research depth and verification checks to the purpose and risk profile of your own project.
