This agreement is between you and Dom Huga Ltd. It covers the Domain Hunter Gatherer website, member area, software, downloads, support, premium-domain portfolio and related services. The short summaries help with navigation; the full wording below applies.
At a glance
Use your own account
Keep sign-in details private, provide accurate information and tell support promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
One active computer
A paid licence may be installed on more than one computer, but it is for active use on one computer at a time.
Research still needs judgement
DHG helps you discover and assess opportunities; availability, third-party metrics and commercial outcomes are not guaranteed.
Domain sales start with an enquiry
An enquiry starts a conversation. A listing may include an Afternic purchase route, or the purchase route can be agreed after discussing the domain.
Legal rights remain yours
Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that applicable law says cannot be excluded or limited.
Agreement and eligibility
By accessing the website, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, enquiring about a premium domain or using Domain Hunter Gatherer, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies linked from them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the software. Browsing public pages is also subject to the provisions that are relevant to website visitors.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the website. If you are under 18, or below the age at which you can enter a binding contract where you live, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian. A paid order must be placed by someone legally able to enter the purchase contract. If you use DHG for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it.

Accounts and security
Register using information that is accurate and kept up to date. Your account is personal to you unless we have expressly agreed a different arrangement in writing. Do not impersonate someone else, create an account for a deceptive purpose or access another person's account without permission.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your password, licence details and other credentials. Do not publish, sell or share them. Tell us promptly through the member helpdesk if you believe an account or licence has been accessed without authority. We may ask for reasonable information to verify account ownership before making security-sensitive changes.
You remain responsible for activity you authorise. You are not responsible for activity caused by our failure to use reasonable care or for unauthorised activity after you have notified us and taken the reasonable steps we request to secure the account.
Subscriptions, payments and cancellation
Features and entitlements depend on the plan shown at sign-up or in your member area. Prices, billing periods, taxes and renewal terms are displayed during checkout. Payments are handled by the payment provider made available at checkout; that provider may offer different payment methods depending on your location.
A recurring subscription continues for the billing period shown at checkout until it is cancelled. To stop future renewals, send a cancellation request through the member-area helpdesk. Cancellation is separate from a refund request for a payment already collected. Access normally continues for the paid period unless a payment is refunded, reversed or otherwise not completed.
Seven-day commercial refund promise. The latest payment on a currently active subscription may be refunded in full when requested within seven calendar days, subject to the straightforward process in our Refund Policy. This promise is additional to any statutory rights you may have.
We may correct obvious pricing or description errors before accepting an order. If we cannot supply a paid service that has been accepted, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law. You are responsible for any charges imposed independently by your bank, card issuer or currency provider.
Software licence
While your relevant entitlement is active, Dom Huga Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the supplied Domain Hunter Gatherer software for your own internal personal or business research. The software is licensed, not sold.
You may install the software on multiple computers that you control, but the licence is for active use on one computer at a time. On that active computer, you may run more than one DHG job where the software supports it. Contact support before changing the person or organisation that controls a licence.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction, you must not:
- share, rent, lease, sublicense, sell or commercially redistribute the software or your licence credentials;
- copy the software other than for permitted installation or a reasonable backup;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to discover source code;
- bypass licensing, usage, access or security controls; or
- use the software to provide unauthorised access to the service for another person.
Updates may add, change or retire features to improve the product, maintain compatibility, protect security or respond to changes in third-party services. Some research features rely on external websites, APIs or data sources and may require separate credentials, credits or terms from those providers.
Website content and intellectual property
The website, software, branding, interface, original text, graphics and other materials supplied by Dom Huga Ltd are owned by Dom Huga Ltd or used under licence and are protected by intellectual-property law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You may view public pages in a browser, use normal browser caching, download files we expressly make available to you and print a reasonable copy for personal or internal business reference. You may share an ordinary link to a public page.
Without prior written permission, do not republish substantial website content, sell or sublicense it, present it publicly as your own, use it to build a competing content product, remove ownership notices or redistribute material where the page does not provide a sharing facility. Content that belongs to another rightsholder remains subject to that rightsholder's terms.
Acceptable use
Use DHG lawfully, responsibly and in a way that does not interfere with other users, our systems or third parties. In particular, do not use the website or services to:
- commit, encourage or facilitate unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful activity;
- introduce malware, overload infrastructure, probe for vulnerabilities or defeat access controls;
- scrape or access our own website through automated means without permission where that activity is prohibited by our published technical controls or creates an unreasonable load;
- harvest contact details or send unsolicited marketing;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights; or
- misrepresent domain ownership, metrics, availability, provenance or affiliation.
DHG can assist with research across third-party sources. You are responsible for using those sources in accordance with applicable law and any terms that bind you. A technical capability in the software is not permission to ignore another party's rights or access rules.
Your content and feedback
You retain ownership of material you submit, such as a support attachment, account information or content intended for publication. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide it and that doing so is lawful.
You grant Dom Huga Ltd a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit and otherwise use submitted material only as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide support, secure our systems and comply with law. We will not publish private support content as a testimonial, case study or other public material without specific permission.
If you voluntarily send product ideas or feedback, we may use the ideas to improve DHG without an obligation to implement them or pay compensation. This does not transfer ownership of confidential files or personal data, which remain handled under the Privacy Policy.
Research data and service availability
Domain names can be useful digital assets and DHG is designed to make discovery and comparison more efficient. Even so, search results are research leads rather than guarantees. Domain availability, registration status, auction terms, third-party prices, backlinks, authority metrics, website history and search-engine treatment can change quickly or be reported incorrectly by an external source.
Check the facts that matter to your decision directly with the relevant registrar, registry, auction platform, archive, metrics provider or rightsholder before committing time or money. You remain responsible for domain selection, registration, bidding, renewal, legal checks and how you use a domain.
We aim to keep the website and software available and useful, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be promised. Maintenance, security work, internet conditions and changes made by third-party services can cause delays or temporary loss of a feature. More context appears in the Disclaimer.
Warranties and liability
We provide the services with the level of care and skill required by applicable law. Beyond promises expressly made in these terms and rights that law implies and does not allow us to exclude, we do not promise that every result is complete, current, suitable for a particular strategy or commercially successful.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot legally be excluded, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care, subject to applicable law. We are not responsible for a loss that was not foreseeable, was caused by information or events outside our reasonable control, or could reasonably have been avoided by following instructions or maintaining appropriate backups and security.
If you use DHG wholly or mainly for business, then, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Dom Huga Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, goodwill, business opportunity or data. Nothing here changes liability that cannot lawfully be limited. You must not bring a personal claim against an officer or employee for an obligation that belongs to Dom Huga Ltd.
Suspension and ending access
You may stop using the service at any time and may request cancellation of a recurring subscription through the member helpdesk. Sections that by their nature continue after use ends—including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, liability, enforcement and governing law—remain effective.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate a security issue, prevent harm, address non-payment, comply with law or respond to a serious or repeated breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and offer a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be needed for fraud, security threats, unlawful activity or risk to others.
We may end an account or licence for a material breach that is not remedied after notice, or immediately where the breach cannot reasonably be remedied. This does not remove any refund, repair, repeat-performance or other remedy that applicable law requires.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect product changes, clearer wording, security needs, business practices or legal requirements. The current version will be published here with its effective date.
Where a change materially affects an existing paid service, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, member area or account email where appropriate. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the service and cancel future renewal before the new term applies.
General terms and contact
Dom Huga Ltd may transfer this agreement as part of a genuine reorganisation, sale or transfer of the service, provided this does not reduce your mandatory rights. You may not transfer your account or licence without our written agreement.
If one provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be read as narrowly as needed or removed, and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These terms, together with the policies and order information they refer to, form the agreement about your use of DHG. No person other than you and Dom Huga Ltd has a right to enforce these terms, except where the law says otherwise.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections available where you live, and you may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
