Easy Steps to make PBN Websites
During the course of making my PBN Video Guide series I was able to find a couple of amazing expired domains and set them both up with hosting and DNS to avoid footprints in your PBN from the start.
Once you have your domains setup and reachable, you will then need to fill them with content to get them indexed and ranking so that you can start using them in your SEO campaigns.
The goal isn’t just to put words on a page; it’s to get the domain re-indexed and ranking as quickly as possible to reclaim its former glory. To do that, you need a strategy that balances speed with SEO effectiveness.
4 Factors of Successful Website Recovery
There are many ways to build a website for a PBN in 2026, when you have made a few you will start to see which things help your workflow and which do not.
Some important factors to keep in mind when building your PBN websites are:
- Speed is Key: Always look for ways to simplify your workflow to save time
- Recreate Important Pages: Make sure to rebuild content on pages with the most backlinks
- Fast Re-Indexing: Expired domains are great for getting indexed with little effort. Get your content online early!
- Page Address Retention: Make sure to recreate all pages at their original web address.

5 Methods for Rebuilding Expired Domains
There are several ways to get your site live. Here is a quick breakdown:
| Method | Speed | Uniqueness | Recommendation |
| Hand Build | Very Slow | High | Avoid for PBNs; keep for money sites. |
| Templates | Slow | Medium | Good if you have high-quality unique content. |
| DomRecovery | Fast | High (Original) | Good for fast indexing. |
| Using AI | Very Fast | High | Best for 2026 workflows. |
| Freelancers | Slow | High | Hard to manage at scale. |
For the purpose of building a PBN at a rapid rate, I am going to mainly focus on how to recover an old website design and content, and then how I use AI to create functioning websites very quickly.

Method 1: Recovering Old Sites with DomRecovery
One of the most effective ways to get indexed in as little as 48 hours is to recover the site’s original content. There are tools like DomRecovery that can take a snapshot from the Wayback Machine
How to use DomRecovery:
Step 1: In Domain Hunter Gatherer, right-click your domain and select “Wayback Machine”, this will open the list of snapshots for the domain in the Wayback Machine.

Step 2: Find the most complete version of the website and copy the address to this snapshot.

Step 3: Enter the snapshot address into DomRecovery and click Next a few times.

Step 4: Let DomRecovery recover all of the pages and files for the website.

Step 5: Upload the recovered files to your web host using any FTP client, I use Filezilla, it is great and free.

And that’s it!
This method is really easy to do, it can take a while for large websites but is usually really quick to setup and then your PC does the rest, without any input from yourself.
Pro Tip: Use this recovered content only as a “placeholder.” It gets you indexed fast because Google recognizes the old structure, but you should eventually swap it for unique content to avoid copyright issues.
Method 2: Using AI to Rebuild Websites
It is 2026, and using AI to rebuild websites is one of the biggest time savers for me. Website design is one area where most AIs really excel.
One of the domains I found while scraping for expired domains is Links2RSS.com and it was a really simple little service that would take a list of webpages from the user and then create an RSS feed for it. This RSS feed could then be pinged to the search engines and blog aggregators for some easy exposure.
This all got the backlinks indexed really quickly. The method used is not as powerful for indexing, as it once was, but the expired domain had some juicy backlinks and an interesting history so I registered it. It was mine for about $10.
As this was a service, the tool could not be recovered from the Wayback Machine so it would need recreating. Being a simple service, I figured AI would be a great candidate for recovering this website, and I chose ChatGPT.
Case Study: Recreating Links2RSS with Chat GPT
I decided on GPT as I use it for my general uses and am comfortable with it and have good results with my methods from it. If you prefer to use another AI, that is fine, most will be capable of creating a working website with just a few prompts.
Before instructing Chat GPT 5.1 Thinking to create a website for me, I prefer to prime it with what I want, with as specific detail as required, to get the results I want with little effort.
By priming it, I just mean establishing what I want before saying “build it”. For Links2RSS, I started by asking it what it knew about the site. GPT knew all of the basics about it and how it worked.

From there I handed it the design of the original site from the wayback machine and instructed it to recreate it to it’s original design, but to also recreate the base functionality.

From here, it did almost everything. There were a couple of small additions, that were requested, such as adding og:cards for social sharing and such.
The Prompting Strategy:
- Context: Ask the AI if it knows the old service and its main features.
- Input: Provide the old HTML structure and any extra details that you want it to take into consideration.
- Execution: Ask the AI to recreate the functionality and design.
In under 5 minutes, I had a working tool that was unique, functional, and ready to rank. Using AI allows you to add modern features (like OpenGraph cards) that the original site never had.
Why Not The Other Methods?
You can go about building your PBN sites manually, or start with a template or theme but these are very time consuming and you should not be spending days on getting your PBN sites up and running.
If you find a PBN site is starting to attract a lot of traffic or backlinks, then you can look to give it a more unique and promotable website design but this should be reserved for just the best sites in your network.

While professional designers are great, they are often too slow for PBN building, as well as adding extra cost to the process. Speed and friction reduction are your top priorities. If you aren’t using DomRecovery or AI, stick to simple templates rather than getting bogged down in the back-and-forth of hiring freelancers.
Conclusion & Next Steps
Building your PBN doesn’t have to be a weeks-long process, it really shouldn’t ever be. By using tools like DomRecovery for placeholders and AI for functional recreations, you can get your network live in a fraction of the time.
If this was interesting, you should check out the video this guide is based off, it goes into a lot more detail and shows the whole process for recreating 2 different websites using the methods mentioned in this guide.
What’s Next?
In our next guide, in this series, we will be looking at extending the content on the PBN sites once they are indexed and are starting to rank again. This is key in getting the most out of your PBN sites so is very important. Look forward to that.
